Flip player for mac 10.6.8

The new Flip Player is very buggy on a multi-monitor setup. Anyone know of other free or inexpensive applications that might get me through for a few files? All bits o' wisdom are very welcome! iSkysoft offers an app which reportedly converts these files. I have tried Handbrake, iFFMPEG, VLC, Mplayer, MplayerX and several others. mov files and otherwise have had Flip$Mac gone from my machine for several months. I guess I have no strong objection to the idea of buying that Pro version however I have just a few of these.

Unless the 'Pro' version of Flip$Mac is present then audio 'watermarks' are sprinkled throughout the file. Is that correct? Also, in using third party apps such as VisualHub and iSquint it appears that they use the Flip$Mac engine to make the files conversions. I think Flip$Mac is the only company presently supporting these formats on the Mac.
